Song Of The Week – Gasoline and Matches’ ‘Never Have I Ever
Here at Music and Tour News, we are so thrilled to continue teaming up with the wonderful folk over at Modern Age Music to bring you our chosen song of the week every Monday evening and this week we are delighted to confirm that Gasoline and Matches’ ‘Never Have I Ever’ is our chosen track.
The UK duo are one of the most revered acts on the circuit thanks to their rich vocal harmony and stellar songwriting skill that sets them apart and allows them to cruise down their own sonic lane with a soundscape that has been honed and perfected over the years they have been together creating hits.
And with their latest offering titled ‘Never Have I Ever’ they have delved deep into their artistry to craft a standout track that is steeped in feel-good vibes with plenty of guitar chords and an epic collaboration with Sarah Jory who performs pedal steel on the funky, uptempo release that will go down a treat as festivals this summer.
The toe-tapper track also asks for some serious audience participation with Gasoline and Matches asking for listeners to take a drink every time they hear something that they’ve done the thing that the duo say haven’t in the tongue-in-cheek lyrics that will be the backdrop to many summer parties this year.
Released on Freedom Day in England ‘Never Have I Ever’ will no doubt soundtrack many gatherings as friends meet up for the first time in eighteen months to celebrate being able to hug and spend time together once again following tight restrictions on social gatherings and physical contact.
