Shania Twain Announces Album Collection ‘The Woman In Me: The Diamond Edition’
Country music legend Shania Twain has delighted fans by announcing that on October 2nd she will release a stunning collection that celebrates the 1995 record-breaking album ‘The Woman In Me’. The original release was Twain’s sophomore offering following on from her self-titled debut a couple of years previous and is the record that put her on the map as the leading female in country-pop with the LP selling over 20 million copies so far.
The new box-set is titled The Diamond Edition and brings together an incredible collection of previously unreleased, tracks, new live versions, new vocal mixes, a gorgeous hard book with stunning photography, and much more with the three-CD set offering fans a must-have addition to their physical collections.
The updated edition celebrates the albums 25-year anniversary and has been personally curated by Shania Twain and is a once-in-a-lifetime release from Twain as she shares songs that are remastered from the original analog tapes, five new live recordings, a never before heard early mix of the LP plus original single mixes, b-sides and bonus tracks which is all housed in a breathtaking 44-page hardback commemorative book with previously unseen photos, new liner notes and personal recollections from the superstar.
Speaking about the upcoming 38-track collection to Good Morning America on August 14th, Shania stated: “This is the album that changed my career and has brought me to places that I would never have imagined even in my wildest dreams at the time, I had high hopes, but this, I mean, where I am today, 25 years later, at the time was unimaginable. So this is a real celebration year for me, celebrating coming out as a very independent, open-minded, very, just bold in what I had to say.”
The new reissue of the 1995 classic is sure to delight Twain’s huge and growing global fanbase especially as this is the record that launched her to worldwide superstardom and cemented her status as the genre’s crossover sonic maker as she helped create a whole separate market for women in country music.
