SINGLE REVIEW: Ward Thomas’ ‘Meant To Be Me -Acoustic’

Following on from the release of the fully produced single ‘Meant To Be Me’ a few weeks ago Ward Thomas have now shared the stunning acoustic version of the hit track which is lifted off their forthcoming album ‘Invitation’ which drops on Friday, October 9th and is set to be one of the best records of the year.

The new rendition is a gorgeous string led offering that showcases the twins’ spinetingling vocal harmony as the deliver a rootsy version of the song breathing new life into the single version that will feature on the LP’s tracklist next month. Their voices always shine a little brighter on these acoustic renditions and this one is no different.

Taking ‘Meant To Be Me’ back to its country roots allows for the emotive lyrical story to take centre stage and makes the lyrics take on a much more poignant meaning as the story of lost love is accompanied by the soft production style and soaring harmonies making it a wonderful offering.

Ward Thomas are one of the most impressive country music crossover duos of all time and with this latest release, they showcase their immense vocal and songwriting ability as they shine a light on their musical growth and maturity as they begin the era of their fourth studio album.

Catherine and Lizzy are without doubt two of the finest musicians the UK has ever produced and with this acoustic version of ‘Meant To Be Me,’ they shine a light on their outstanding voices as they continue on the path to global stardom whilst delivering classic hits that will allow them the opportunity of worldwide radio play.
