Swamp Doctor Releases New Single ‘Laura Mae’
Veteran country performer Swamp Doctor has released his standout new single ‘Laura Mae’ along with an animated video depicting self-isolation and the effects it’s having on everyone right now. The latest track from the London artist is lifted off his brand new self-titled album.
‘Laura Mae’ has been released via Silver Fox Records and delivers a delightful taste of his new LP which compiles nearly 30 years of his impressive back catalogue and features a handful of other leading artists he has worked with over the course of his extensive career. The album has been produced by Sascha Panknin and James D Ingram over a two and a half year period.
The latest track from Swamp Doctor will be released internationally from June 26th following its March drop date in the UK and ushers in an exciting new era for the esteemed country artist who has performed more than 1000 shows in his lengthy performing career so far, and once venues start putting shows on again we can expect plenty of other live dates from the Londoner.
Speaking about his latest single and its lyrical story, Swamp Doctor says: ‘‘Laura Mae sounded southern and old fashioned for a fallen Alabama soul suffering still and seeing the dusk of life for all it means to her. I was inspired by the simple arrangement and harmony of southern folk songs, often with one guitar and two voices.’
