Taylor Borton Releases New Single ‘If I Was London’

On-the-rise performer Taylor Borton is an eclectic artist who effortlessly blends elements of traditional country, folk, and Americana into her stellar soundscape to create a dynamic and unique style that sets her apart from the current crop of music makers rising up the ranks.

And with her latest offering titled ‘If I Was London’, the multi-talented singer/songwriter has once again shown that she has the ability to delicately and effortlessly weave between a multitude of sonic genres whilst delivering a solid and recognisable style that is 100 percent her own.

The standout track from Taylor Borton sees her crafting a sweeping lyrical story that focuses on that feeling of wanting to be perceived as a place that holds a dear and meaningful place in a lovers life so that you might feel valued, protected, and loved within the relationship – a unique view for a story-arc.

Speaking about the song, Taylor says: “If I Was London is about a person wanting to be perceived as a certain place that holds a special meaning in the other person’s heart. I thought I had something worth holding onto, but it turns out I had to learn how to let go of what I love. Being a musician myself, it’s sometimes difficult to be with someone so similar, who’s on the go and chasing their own dream. I continue to support him, but I still don’t have the closure of how it could’ve been if I was London to him.”

It’s a raw, emotive, and emotionally heart-wrenching offering from one of the genre’s brightest rising stars and it’s one that allows her to shine a light on her incredible vocal control, and mature songwriting talent as she looks to continue pushing the sonic boundaries of modern country music.
