Tim Prottey-Jones Launches ‘The UK Country Collective: Homegrown Volume 1’
During the enforced UK lockdown artists across the country were holed up at home with very little to do in terms of creativity as live shows came to a full stop; with most live music still unable to go ahead. So as the quarantine went on performers began looking for new ways to engage with fans and from that Tim Prottey-Jones created The UK Country Collective.
The Brit singer/songwriter got the ball rolling by contacting friends, colleagues, and trusted peers across the industry with the view of recreating some of the finest country music covers from the past sixty years, this resulted in him sharing the collaborations every week for 15 weeks throughout lockdown which shone a light on the incredible talent with the UK scene.
And now the stunning cover versions will be available on a recorded project with Tim Prottey-Jones announcing ‘TheUK Country Collective: Homegrown Volume 1’ which will feature hit songs from the likes of Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Brad Paisley, and Kenny Rogers covered by Tim, Laura Oakes, Vicki Manser, and Katy Hurt.
The upcoming project will be available to download and stream across all platforms from September 18th and promises to be one of the most impressive bodies of work to be shared this year whilst showcasing the incredible strength in depth the British country music scene has.
Along with top UK country music vocalists, the tracks will also feature an array of musicians as the EP brings together some of the countries’ most impressive country crossover talent on one truly outstanding collection which is just the start of a gorgeous set of releases with volume two expected to follow shortly.
