Twinnie Announces New Single ‘This Year Sucks’ and Official Video Release Date

Back in September on-the-rise, country-pop sensation Twinnie shared a brand new track across social media with the anthemic ‘This Year Sucks’ striking a chord with listeners across the globe as she poked fun at the situation we find ourselves in regarding current lockdown restrictions.

The feel-good tongue-in-cheek pop crossover anthem tells the story of the past twelve months and takes us through the stages we have all gone through since the beginning of quarantine in mid-March including not being able to see friends and having travel privileges revoked several times across the year.

Of course, there are also darker undertones of the seriousness of the ongoing pandemic with the line “I know I should be grateful that I’m still here to tell the tale of what a joke of a year it’s been” and a take on the continuous effect on the arts industry with the lyric “my serotine ran out just a little too quick when they canceled and rescheduled every live show”.

And with fans having been calling for an official release of the relatable track, Twinnie has finally bowed to the calls and has announced that ‘This Year Sucks’ will be released across all streaming and digital download platforms from Friday, December 18th (tomorrow) alongside the official music video.

The official announcement for the brand new single which rounds off an incredibly successful year in terms of new music for the multi-talented performer came via a YouTube video spoof of MTV Cribs which allows for Twinnie to demonstrate her comedic timing whilst announcing the release date for ‘This Year Sucks’.
