Twinnie Releases New Single ‘Sad Boy’

What do you get if you combine the sounds and styles of Lana Del Rey, Ashe and Shania Twain? Well, if you listen to ‘Sad Boy’ the latest offering from British country-pop artist Twinnie you’ll get a very good idea as the impressive singer/songwriter has harnessed those influences for this track.

Produced and written with Barnabas Shaw (Meghan McKenna) and Paul Sikes (Lainey Wilson), ‘Sad Boy’ tells the tale of the flip side of a relationship when the guy crossed the boundaries, broke your heart, but now wants you back because you’re showing him you’re better off without him.

This is the latest offering off of the forthcoming ‘Blue Hour’ EP which is the newest project from the artist who is now based in Nashville. The single follows on from previous tracks ‘The Way I Loved You’ and ‘Bad Man’ and further showcases what fans can expect from the upcoming tracklist.

“Sad Boy is the classic tale of someone thinking the grass is greener. They break up with you and break your heart and then want to come back. Inspired by true events, karma played her part well. I wrote this with Barnabas Shaw and Paul Sikes. The Blue Hour EP is all about capturing moments in time and I think Sad Boy captures the flip side of a breakup. I love the production on this one too. It’s very angsty yet has strong country-pop influences thanks to the slide guitars but was also inspired by Lana Del Rey and Ashe” – Twinnie

Along with releasing ‘Sad Boy’ today (Friday, July 28th), Twinnie has also recently shared the official music video for the captivating, and moving ballad ‘Bad Man’ with the stunning visual capturing the song’s lyrical story through dance.
