Vic Allen Releases New Single ‘Suitcase’

British country music rising star Vic Allen today (Friday, November 4th) releases her powerful and poignant new single titled ‘Suitcase’ which follows on from the brilliant ‘Confetti’ that was shared by the singer/songwriter back in July of this year – and this could possibly be her best offering yet.

it’s a heartbreaking ballad that features incredible sorrowful lyrics that are wistful and nostalgic, Vic has performed this song live on a number of occasions and it has resonated deeply with fans so it’s a natural progression for her to choose it as her next single as so many people have become attached to the lyrical story.

The track was written by Vic Allen alone during lockdown when she was feeling particularly restless at being trapped indoors for a long stretch of time and imagining all the places she would rather be and it hadn’t occurred to her at the time that so many others were feeling the same and just how deeply ‘Suitcase’ would connect with listeners.

Speaking about the release and its inspiration, Vic says: “Travelling is a huge part of my life and it has a massive influence on my music. The
things you experience and the people you meet inspire songs all the time. If you don’t make the effort to get out and seek new things, life can become pretty monotonous, and that’s something that scares me a little.”

With ‘Suitcase’, the UK artist showcases a beautiful side of her artistry and taps into emotions and feeling that most will be able to resonate and connect with – there’s a hunger in a lot of us to seek adventure and try new things whilst feeling trapped and this release taps into that wonderfully.
