Ward Thomas Announce #BuskingForOurPlanet Tour
British country-pop duo Ward Thomas are well-known for their activism when it comes to the fight to save our planet and as people unite today (Thursday, 22nd April) on Earth Day the award winners have confirmed that they are bringing music to their fans through a new tour set-up.
The announcement saw the Hampshire twins announcing that they will be playing live across the country from this May right up until the start of COP26 on November 1st in order to raise awareness and much-needed funds for climate change in a bold move that puts them at the forefront of musicians making moves to create real change.
The news also comes amidst the global Coronavirus pandemic which has halted live touring but with restrictions set to be eased further and with the busking dates around multiple UK cities taking place outside the events will be socially distanced and COVID secure.
Across social media, Ward Thomas stated: “Today is #earthday so what better day to announce…. Starting from Friday 21st May until the start of COP26 on 1st Nov we will be busking around the UK in a different location every week to raise as much money and awareness as we can for Climate Change and the Environment. In the coming weeks, we will be announcing our first location, how you can influence where else we busk and how to donate”.
It is hugely an exciting venture for the twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy and one that will no doubt delight their growing fanbase across Britain especially as they haven’t got to see the duo live for well over a year due to ongoing lockdown rules impacting the live music industry.
