Ward Thomas Announce ‘Invitation’ Spotify Listening Party

With less than a week to go until British country-pop music duo Ward Thomas share their eagerly awaited fourth studio album ‘Invitation,’ the twins are kicking the promotional campaign into high gear and the latest news is that on the day of the albums official release they will be holding a special listening party on Spotify.

The hotly anticipated record which was completed in rural Hampshire during lockdown will drop on Friday, October 9th and is led by hit singles ‘Sweet Time’, ‘Meant To Be Me’, and the most recent offering ‘Someday’ all of which give a different taste of what’s to come from the upcoming project.

Speaking about their latest and most mature body of work to date, Ward Thomas say: “2020 has been a year full of learning, which we feel has changed our approach to this album. We recorded a lot of it from our cottage, and working remotely came with its share of challenges, but also new opportunities. Although recorded during uncertain times, the record feels like an invitation to a more positive time; to a more open and exciting new chapter. We named it after a lyric in the song ‘Open Your Mind’ because the album feels like an invitation – whether it be figuratively, an invitation to self-reflect, or physically, to a time when we can all party again.”

And the LP which feels like a coming of age offering from the twin sisters as they now embark on new life courses will be supported on Friday with the Spotify listening party which will begin at 6 pm BST and will see Catherine and Lizzy joining fans in the chatbox to talk all things ‘Invitation’.

The record will be further supported by Ward Thomas on Saturday, October 10th with their global live-stream concert that will see them delivering a fully scaled and produced show to fans who will be able to tune in from a link that will be sent to their inboxes ahead of time once they purchase a ticket.
