Ward Thomas Announce Rescheduled Tour Dates
Record breakers Ward Thomas were last year due to tour the UK with an intimate acoustic showcase however the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown meant that the run of dates were rescheduled to later in the year that unfortunately was also pushed back with the tour moved to early 2021 – and now those have also been changed.
The tour was penciled in for April of this year but with government guidelines and lockdown restrictions still in place and not set to be lifted in time to allow concerts to go ahead – Ward Thomas have now confirmed that they will be taking to the road in November with rules expected to have been eased significantly or lifted completely.
Since their previous tour in support of their third studio album ‘Restless Minds’ in 2019, the twin sister duo have shared their fourth LP ‘Invitation’ which will mean fans will get to see them performing songs off both albums alongside their previous two offerings ‘From Where We Stand’, and ‘Cartwheels’.
Supporting the Hampshire country-pop pair on the forthcoming tour dates will be singer/songwriter Dan Owen who last year collaborated with the sisters on their poignant, thought-provoking single ‘Someone To Someone’ so he will hopefully also be joining them on stage each night too after he opens for them.
The run of dates is expected to be a beautiful set-up from Ward Thomas with them stripping away all the big stage production that their latest tours have had and will instead see them paring it all back to just their voices and acoustic instruments making for a wonderful up close and personal experience.
