Ward Thomas Postpone ‘Unfiltered’ UK Tour

The global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has claimed yet another tour victim; this time it’s British country music duo Ward Thomas who have been forced to postpone their acoustic ‘Unfiltered’ tour. The dates were originally booked into the diary for April/May this year before the lockdown closed down all venues therefore the shows were moved until September and as the live-scene continues to be halted the twins have once again pushed their showcase back, this time until 2021.

The upcoming tour will see the Hampshire country-pop crossover pair performing tracks from their three hit albums ‘From Where We Stand’, ‘Cartwheels’, and ‘Restless Minds’, and with the record-breakers on the verge of announcing details of their fourth LP fans can expect to hear brand new music along with the classics when they hit the road next year.

The news of the tour postponement came on Monday, July 13th to very little surprise as the COVID-19 restrictions continue to make live music unattainable for many. Currently, outdoor gigs are allowed in England with Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland operating on their own rules with most British countries lifting restrictions in a slower fashion, all outside live performances also have to adhere to social distancing.

Speaking about the decision to push their tour back until April 2021, Ward Thomas said: “We are sure most of you have been expecting this, but due to the ongoing situation we have been forced to make the decision to reschedule the “UnFiltered Tour” again. We’re pleased to have been able to reschedule all the dates to April 2021 though so make sure you hang on to your tickets – they will be valid for the new dates. In the meantime, stay safe as always and we will continue to see you virtually until then! P.S Lots of good news coming your way soon!”

During the string of ‘Unfiltered’ tour dates next year, Ward Thomas will be supported by English singer/songwriter Dan Owen with whom they collaborated with earlier this Spring on the poignant, and heartfelt single ‘Someone To Someone’. Attendees can also expect to see Dan join Catherine and Lizzy on stage to perform their duet each night.
