EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Laura Beckwith Talks New Single ‘Growing Pains’
On-the-rise British country music-influenced talent Laura Beckwith recently released her poignant new single titled ‘Growing Pains’. Here we chat exclusively with the artist to discuss the track:
Congratulations on the new single, how have you found the response so far?
Thank you so much. So far, the response has been brilliant! It’s been over a year since I released new music, so I was concerned it might not gain traction. However, it’s been lovely to see that people are still listening and that my music is reaching an even wider audience.
What are you hoping listeners take away from the message you’ve conveyed in this song?
I wrote this song about a childhood friendship that, unfortunately, faded over the years. For me, this song serves as a reminder that sometimes it’s no one’s fault—you just naturally grow apart from each other. I hope people can listen to this song in a positive way!
How do you feel this track builds on what you’ve released so far?
When I first started releasing music, I was still figuring out my sound and experimenting with different styles and genres. Now, I feel like I’ve finally found my sound, and this track is another step in the right direction
What would you say has been the most rewarding aspect of 2024 so far?
The most rewarding aspect of 2024 would be booking my first festival which I’m playing on Sunday 30th June!
Do you have any fun or out-of-the-box promo ideas for this release?
For most of my promo, I go out and film videos with my mom, which is always a laugh. You can look forward to even more funny and spontaneous videos for this release!
Looking ahead, what else does 2024 hold for you?
I am so excited about what’s coming up in the next few months. There’s plenty more music on the way, and I’m also heading back to Nashville in September for more shows and writer’s rounds!
