LIVE REVIEW: Shania Twain @ O2 Arena London
The word legend is often said of artists, but few can actually be classified as one but Shania Twain is just that: A true legend and icon. The pop-country superstar puts on a show like no other and continues to dominate the industry thanks to her timeless hits and genuine warmth and likability.
Last night (September 16) at the O2 Arena In London, the Canadian native brought her sold-out Queen Of Me world tour to London for the first of two dates in the city and delivered a barnstorming set of classics, new hits and a dash of country brilliance. But before she arrived on stage US country crossover artist Breland kicked off proceedings.
Continuing the theme of pushing genre boundaries, Breland is one of those performers willing to take sonic risks and last night he was in his element in front of thousands and had the crowd thoroughly warmed up before Twain arrived thanks to his killer vocal control and catchy ear-worms. He is a born performer and when he came back out halfway through to perform Inhale/Exhale, and Party For Two with Shania he proved he has the talent needed for longevity.

Shania arrived through the crowd for the opener Waking Up Dreaming before jumping into Up!, instantly having the audience on their feet and in full voice. Having seen Twain live four times now, and once in Nashville the London crowd last night was the best of the lot and made for the best show possible.
Shania Twain knows what makes an iconic live gig, and her showcase last night was nothing short of spectacular,. Few artists can engage and hold the crowds attention for a full 2 hours, but she does it effortlessly. Sweet moments where the crowd get involved make it feel more intimate and having a mother and son on stage was such an uplifting moment and felt reminiscent of the 90s tours Twain was a part of.
There wasn’t one slow or sluggish moment, the show moved seamlessly with Twain peppering new songs off Queen Of Me with the classics such as Man I Feel Like A Woman, Forever And For Always, Any Man Of Mine, and You’re Still The One. She could have stayed on that stage for several more hours and the London crowd was have continued to sing long into the night.
Shania Twain continues to be at the top of her game and this tour is a must see for any fans of great music!
